The Opportunity
We are currently working with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy. The building services team in Edinburgh are currently seeking a senior electrical engineer. Their mission is to play a key role in making buildings more energy efficient, sustainable and cost effective to operate, priding themselves on an exemplary track record of designing innovative and sustainable mechanical and electrical solutions.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced electrical engineer to lead on the design of some of the most exciting electrical design projects in the UK and internationally. As a key figure in an established team of expert engineers and technicians, and working closely with colleagues of various engineering disciplines, you will prepare and oversee detailed engineering designs using Amtech and Dialux. You will work across a variety of sectors such as education, commercial, healthcare, retail and critical systems.
The Person
Having gained relevant experience in an electrical engineering role within a building services design context, and experience of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines. You are already well versed in the use of relevant design software including Amtech and ideally, Dialux. You have a proven ability in producing low energy design solutions, carrying out site inspections and surveys, detail design development, and crucially - you have a passion for creative and intuitive design. You will preferably hold a degree in electrical or building services engineering or other qualifications with relevant experience. Chartership is desirable but not essential.
The Offer
- A base salary of up to £60k dependent on experience.
